Cookerly Public Relations Welcomes Three
New Members to its Team

Talented young professionals join Atlanta-based firm

(ATLANTA – August 2, 2011) Cookerly Public Relations, a leading Atlanta-based public relations and marketing communications agency, continues to grow with the addition of assistant account executives, Anne Standley and Mamie Cargile, and social media manager Nathan Jokers.

“We’ve experienced solid growth in the past 18 months and that is reflected in the fact that we have increased our staff by more than 20 percent in that time period” said Carol Cookerly, the agency’s president. “I have no doubt the talent that Anne, Mamie, and Nathan bring to our team will help us maintain this momentum.”

Standley and Cargile will provide writing services, media relations, and social media support for a wide variety of clients including Gas South, Cobb EMC, Murphy-Harpst, SunTrust and Guardian Pharmacy.

Before joining Cookerly, Standley was an account coordinator with Weber Shandwick, working extensively with Sealed Air and its Cryovac brand. Anne graduated Cum Laude in 2010 from Spring Hill College with a degree in Integrated Communications. She was a founding member of Psi Delta at her university and was also very active with Lambda Pi Eta.

Cargile worked at the agency as a summer intern in 2010 and is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia where she earned an ABJ in Journalism. She was active in her university’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter and also worked with the distinguished Jeannette Rankin Foundation.

Jokers brings a wealth of experience to the agency’s social media practice - from strategic design of programs to tactical execution – as well as providing ongoing agency marketing and new business support.

In his previous position with BRAVE Public Relations, Jokers created and implemented social media strategies for the world-renowned Peter Pan Show. He has also consulted as a social media strategist with a number of local and nationally-recognized brands. Nathan graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Marketing.
