Cookerly Public Relations Marks 20th Anniversary with Expansion of Clients and Staff

Twenty Years of Powering Perceptions and Serving Clients

(ATLANTA – June 27, 2011) From countless industry and client accolades to an appreciation for the fun and quirky – like the Annie Oakley statue in the conference room and monthly cake pow-wows - Cookerly Public Relations (www.cookerly.com) stands out as a unique marketing and public relations agency. Constantly striving for excellence in everything it does, the Atlanta-based communications firm is celebrating its 20th anniversary milestone this year.

While many agencies have experienced cutbacks and layoffs during the financial downturn, Cookerly has added eleven new clients and five new staff positions during the last 18 months, proving that with the right approach a business can flourish despite a challenging economy. Revenue from 2009 to 2010 increased by 32 percent and current year income through May increased by 33 percent over the same period last year.

Carol Cookerly, president and founder, opened the agency doors in 1991 and has made it a point to set the firm apart from the competition by creating and executing innovative public relations programs that deliver measurable results – and exceed client expectations.

“I’m energized by our work, proud of our accomplishments and still having fun doing it,” said Cookerly. “For me, success is about having satisfied clients, happy employees and profitability.”

Regarding future growth, the company is on track with its strategic plan through 2015 to double the agency’s size.

Cookerly brings deep experience across numerous industry sectors. In addition to all traditional aspects of public relations and marketing, the agency has followed the inception and growth of social media with a dynamic division dedicated to interactive and social media.
