Cookerly Public Relations Retains The Clean Air Campaign for Eleventh Consecutive Year

(ATLANTA – October 26, 2009) Cookerly Public Relations is pleased to announce that after a competitive re-bid process, The Clean Air Campaign® has elected to continue working with its long-time public relations partner for another three-year contract term covering 2010-2012. This is the third time that the agency has retained the business in an open request for proposals, after its initial win in 1999.

Over Cookerly’s 10-year relationship with The Clean Air Campaign, both organizations have grown and adapted to the changing communications landscape. As The Clean Air Campaign has come to face different challenges and encountered new needs, Cookerly has successfully developed communication strategies that anticipate and respond to new trends in environmental advocacy and public relations.

“Cookerly’s successful re-bid is the result of much more than our most recent proposal to The Clean Air Campaign,” said Senior Vice President Candace McCaffery. “This decision reflects our agency’s commitment to making their values a part of our corporate culture so that our advocacy reflects a genuine passion for and investment in their cause.”

About The Clean Air Campaign
The Clean Air Campaign is a not-for-profit organization that works with Georgia’s employers, commuters and schools to encourage actions that result in less traffic congestion and better air quality. To accomplish this goal, The Clean Air Campaign, along with its associate organizations, works with more than 1,600 employers to create custom commute options programs; and annually helps thousands of commuters find commute alternatives that work for them, providing financial incentives to get them started. The Clean Air Campaign also protects public health by issuing Smog Alerts and empowers students, parents and teachers to play a positive role in reducing traffic and cleaning the air through a multi-faceted education program reaching elementary, middle and high schools.   Each day, these programs reduce 1.6 million miles of vehicle travel and keep 800 tons of pollution out of the air.
